Emoji’s can be a really fun way to communicate – but they may be too abstract for some students on the autism spectrum. Today’s free autism resource allows you teach emojis by pairing them with text messages. Simply cut out (or have your student cut out) the emojis and paste or tape them next to the text message they belong with. We’ve given you a blank sheet of text messages so you can write your own to generalize the emoji across different messages. Feel free to print out different emojis as well to expand on what we’ve started!
