Getting A Teacher’s Attention Social Guide

Apr 06 2016

Getting a teachers attention in class social guide
Using expected vs. unexpected behaviors is a great paradigm to help individuals with ASD understand the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Today’s free autism resource uses expected vs. unexpected behaviors to teach how to appropriately get a teacher’s attention in class.

Implementing This Autism Resource:

To implement, read over the description on getting a teacher’s attention. Then, cut out and sort the expected and unexpected behavior icons, and have the student paste them into the correct category. This type of active participation in the activity can be helpful in staying engaged in the activity. After it is complete, have the visual available near the students desk as a reminder!
